Royal Norwich Golf Club.
Digital-led marketing strategy for Norfolk's Premier Golf Course and Club.
Brief.
Royal Norwich has undergone a major transformation over the past few years. In 2019 it moved the entire course and club to a stunning new venue on the outskirts of Norwich.
The move - one of the biggest sporting and leisure redevelopments in the country, has created an eye-watering golf and hospitality venue.
To assist with this transformation we were tasked with developing a new digital-led marketing strategy and creating a new brand identity that would present it as both a modern forward-thinking business and a business with historic roots.
Our Work.
Over the years our work has covered the full marketing mix for Royal Norwich. From traditional PR and design and print, right through to digital marketing, website development, content marketing and social media.
PR
As a result of Royal Norwich's historic move to a new course and its £10 million transformation, the local, national and sporting media were of course heavily interested in the relocation . Working with the club, our PR team secured wide ranging media coverage and interviews in print, online and on radio and TV.
Digital Marketing
The development of a digital-led marketing approach is core to Royal Norwich's marketing strategy.
Our digital specialists deliver pay-per-click advertising campaigns via Google, Facebook and Instagram to drive business awareness and growth.
Our SEO team are constantly reviewing and improving the club's keyword ranking, local SEO and conversion rate optimisation to ensure the website is optimised for the correct keywords and queries both locally and nationally.
Our social media team create and implement paid advertising campaigns on social media to drive consideration, awareness, interest and desire for not just the club's golf offering, but also for its dining and event experiences.
Design
Our initial work for Royal Norwich began with the development of a new brand identity, logo and importantly, a set of brand guidelines for the club to follow.
The finished work is now used throughout the club on all its signage, marketing material and merchandise, effectively creating an own-label brand for the business.
Ongoing we provide a wide variety of design work for the club including brochures, member literature and more.
Website Design
Through our sister company - Thissaway - we've also built a responsive, experience led website for the club. Previously the club had a very restricting and outdated website that ranked poorly and did not reflect the brand's vision. The new site has been built with a mobile-first led approach, optimised for SEO and designed to showcase it's stunning new course and facilities including its impressive hospitality and dining experience - The Stables.
